In DMIC Corridor Dholera Smart City is the Biggest Smart City in India
Talleen Kumar,Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Delhi – Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMIC) has confirmed commencement of work in the first smart city of India- Dholera Smart City in Gujarat. With this, Modi’s dream of creating 100 smart cities seems to be taking form and India seemingly moving towards a better future that shall foster collective prosperity and industrial growth. When asked on the details on the two cities that the government has decided to start with, he said that the development of Shendra Bhidkin shall be divided into several phases. The phase 1 is expected to be completed by 2019 is everything goes as per schedule. The phase 1 shall involve development of 153 square kilometer of area in Dholera SIR and 40 square kilometer in Shendra Bidkin. However an activation area has been decided and trunk infrastructure project shall commence on that. This activation zone area shall be limited to 22.5 square kilometer for Dholera
