The Best Reason To Immediately Start Selling Property In Dholera SIR

The stage for India to become a smarter and more organized nation has been laid down as the mster
plan for six out of seven smart cities has been finalized and Rs. 3,000 crore each has been sanctioned 
towards development of trunk infrastructure in Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat and 
Shendra –Bidkin region in Maharashtra. This news was confirmed to PTI by Talleen Kumar, CEO and 
Managing Director, DMIC Development Corp Ltd.

The land for the activation area of these regions shall be provided by the state government while the 
central government shall put in their share of investments in form of equity capital. Special Purpose 
Vehicles (SPV’s) have been formed with at 50:50 partnerships between state government and central 
government and shall be responsible for the development of smart cities.

While the government has already acquired 32 square kilometers of land for the Shendra –Bidkin region,

a further acquisition of 8 square kilometers of land is in the process. This shall give a mega start to the 
project with 40 square kilometers of land under acquisition. Similarly a 22.5 square kilometer land has
 been acquired for Dholera SIR , also called as the activation area and work has already commenced in
 the region. Project implementation shall begin in Shendra-Bidkin region early next year. Dholera is being 
planned in a phase wise manner with the phase 1 being developed across 154 kilometers while the complete 
region is planned over a spread of 920 kilometers and the area planned for Shendra is 84 square kilometers.

Apart from the above , five other Greenfield industrial projects planned on the Delhi Mumbai Industrial 
corridor are Dighi Port City in Maharashtra, Pithampur-Dhar-Mhow belt in Madhya Pradesh, Khushkhera-
Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Manesar –Bamal in Haryana and Dadri-Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Gujarat International 
Finance Tech city (GIFT) has also been planned as a mega smart city in Gujarat and work has already begun 
on the project. Apart from these, three more smart cities are in the pipeline and are to be launched next 
year. They are Greater Noida Township, Global City in Gurgaon and the integrated township of Vikram 
Odyogpuri. 747 acres of land has already been transferred to the special purpose vehicles for the Greater 
Noida project.

Apart from converting India to a hi-tech nation along with containing rapid urbanization and increasing 

efficiency, the smart cities are also going to create a huge industrial impact. They shall create millions of 

jobs in the years to come to employ the ever growing youth of India and also act as a catalyst to “Make in 

India” program boosting manufacturing and industrializing the economy on a whole. The Dholera SIR project 

shall also attract investors from across the globe and add substantially to the economic and financial health 

of the country.
